Process Development Associate


We are currently seeking a highly motivated Process Development Associate. This position will support process development and stem cell therapy manufacturing related to induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) derived dopaminergic progenitor cells of a first-in-human clinical trial for the treatment of Parkinson’s Disease sponsored by Aspen Neuroscience, Inc. This role reports to the Senior Director of Manufacturing.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Support a Process Engineer to work within a cross-functional team of scientists, bioinformatic specialists and research associates

  • Manufacturing of clinical cell therapy product under GMP in a controlled cleanroom environment

  • Testing and release of raw materials/new reagent lots, and identify and comparatively test alternative tissue culture material/reagent sources

  • Maintain equipment and inventory for manufacturing operations

  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Essential Qualifications and Skills required:

  • BS degree or higher in cellular or molecular biology and 3+ years hands-on experience working in a GMP-compliant cleanroom environment

  • Aseptic tissue culture of mammalian cells (pluripotent stem cells is a plus)

  • Strong organizational and documentation skills

  • Must be willing to work flexible hours
